First off, a big hello to everyone! Excellent site and a really good idea well implemented!
OK, I'm a relatively new player, been playing for about 3 weeks now and I just started delving into the world of harvesting for sale. I heard that Nabbooian Avian meat was good to get into so I started hunting Kaadu and harvesting the meat. About 500 units later, I put it onto the bazaar and watched as it sold within a day at 50cpu. \"Great,\" I thought to myself, I'll sell a few hundred more units of this then move on to tougher game with some newly bought weapons/armor etc. Imagine my surprise when I find out that meat from Kaadu's has had its stats lowered and is now virtually worthless!
So my question, how often does this happen and has another meat resource had its stats increased somewhere and now we have to find it?
Thanks,

Meat didn't get \"Nerfed.\" Meat is a resource like any other. It constantly shifts and is different by planet. If you are interested in keeping track of where the good stats are, visit www.swgcraft.com. If you plan on harvesting for money, you should also understand what the meat is used for. Avian and Herbivore are used in making stims and buff packs, so they generally demand a high dollar (since they support a profitable business).
The issue is that selling meat is a feast or famine business. You don't get much for low quality meat (maybe 5cpu). However, you can make a ton of money when the resource is flowing on the right planet. Without even trying I was able to make 500k credits harvesting Dant Herbivore in the last couple weeks.
Anyway, I hope that helps.

Another slightly noob question. The Nobboian Avian I was selling was labelled as \"Aiprema\" (I think that's how it was spelled...can't check, I'm at work ;-)) and now it's labelled something else. Will it's quality go back up at some point and be relabelled \"Aiprema\" or is there another meat that has this label? I'm still a little confused about the whole quality/rotation thing.
Thanks for your help!

Ok, here's how it works for all resources (mineral, florals, gas, hides, meats, bones, chemicals):
a resource shifts in, let's say it's lokian meat titled Paja. it's got it's own identifiable qualities and no other resource is named Paja and no other resource on the galaxy will ever be named Paja. it'll stay until the end of the shift (shift durations are undetermined so far). once a new lokian meat comes in, it may or may not be better and it'll have it's own distinct stats as well.
so when you see something good, try to get as much as you can because you don't know what the next shift will bring. also, some galaxies report going months before having another resource shift with a good specific resource coming in.
hope that helps and isn't too confusing.
