I agree. My level 54 Toxic Merek Battlelord and level 55 Mantigrue Screecher both tanked NS Elder at level 274 (?) and lived (with healing of course). I am not sure if my pets were benefiting from being level 80 from grouping, but either way, they tanked better than any players.
Pets can now \"pull\", \"tank\" and \"tap lair\". Well they could do those before CU, but I think that pets are now more useful than before CU.
I have found the following \"pulling\" method to work well.
1. Target a single enemy
2. Tell pet to \"attack\"
3. Almost immediately, you will see \"!\" pop up on the top of your target.
4. Tell your pet to \"follow\" immediately after you see the above \"!\".
5. Your target will come to your pet.
In case of NPCs, you will need to back up further than where your team is because of their ranged attack. I would say about 30m further away from your team. So by the time your target NPC is in range for its ranged attack, it will be ganged up by your team.
