my pets have the same problem, well, myt monkeys do. I think its only them who have that glich. If they';re not in range to attack the target, they just stand still unless it comes closer i find. All u gotta do is go stand next to the target and tell ur pet to follow u and then when its close to the target tell it to attack again.

I used to prefer telling the pet to \"follow target\" before I started attacking it. But that's assuming you're the one initiating the fight.
