All those questions are addressed at length in other posts (mostly in the newbie section) If you want in depth discussion, you could sift through the other posts. If you want a basic overview, here it is:

First off, just so ya know, even the most god-like master creature handler cannot tame a wild kimo. Anytime you see a kimo under the control of a CH, it's a bio engineered kimo that was bought (or received as a gift or maybe stolen). There are lots of creatures that are simply not tamable at any skill level. A level 40 kimo with respectable stats could be pretty expensive. I've seen them at 2.5 million credits and higher.

To handle a level 40 aggressive creature, you have a few options. At novice, you can tame CL12 non aggressive creatures. The boxes in the bottom two tiers each add +2 to your CL. The third tier boxes each add +3 and the fourth tier boxes add +5. So you will need at least enough boxes to add up to CL40. Furthermore, since a kimo is an aggressive creature, you will need to increase your taming vicious modifier. You can do this by training the taming branch. Taming 2 and taming 3 give you +10 to vicious, taming 4 gives you +15 (master gives you another +15, so +50 is the highest you can get.) Additionally, wookies have some inherent skill mods toward taming and you can use specially made clothing and/or food to modify your taming skill. (A level 40 aggressive creature would require a total taming skill {CL + Vicious} of around 53.)

There really is no fast track to mastering CH. If you enjoy it, it passes quickly enough. If you're grinding it to get master, you'll probably hate it. Every box requires CH experience to train, unlike the fighting professions which usually have one branch that requires combat experience and the other three branches that require the specialized experience. You get CH experience by taming baby creatures, training them, and using them to fight. Starting out, you'll receive about 100 experience points per train and about the same per each command trained (you have three commands that you can train when you start out). So about 400 experience per each tame 'n' train. The experience increases as you tame 'n' train higher CL creatures. Fighting experience only requires your pet to get in one successful hit to get the maximum experience, so whether your pet solos the enemy or only hits it once, you get the same experience.

If you have friends who hunt on Dathomir, tag along and send your pet in when the enemy is almost dead. It's not uncommon to find a novice CH amongst big game hunters on the adventure planets. You want to get pets with either high kinetic resists or high HAM, or both since your pet won't be expected to do much damage. If it incaps, you won't get the experience unless you revive it before the creature you're fighting dies, so carry stims. You can do an advanced search to find which pets fit your battle style the best or you can check a list I posted recently in the newb section.

Good luck to you Bridan. I'd suggest spending some time sifting through the posts here before you get going. It might save you a ton of aggravation if you learn as much as you can here rather than out there in the field. And learn how to use advanced search. Learn how to sort your searches. Knowing what you're going after before you spend the time hunting it down is the sanest way to get MCH :)

Just bear in mind that you will probably not get that much for a kimo. They are awesome pets to look at...Huge and scary lookin but they are terrible pets to have in battle. I think it's the best range bug that causes this, but for some reason they tend to run away in battle. The bug comes from a pet trying to get into it's \"ideal\" range from it's target and if that target keeps chasing your pet then it'll keep running to try to get to it's ideal range...it's a vicious cycle.

Everybody has their own opinion as to how to level up a CH. When I started, it was suggested that I train 2222 to get the best foundation and to build from there. What I found out was that the most important benefit to me was being able to store a lot of pets, so I focused on the creature training branch. It really depends on what you think is most important to you.

On the top page, you have a link on the left side that says \"Profile\".
This is the very first page you access.

Click on that and you get to your stable.

You type in your pet name, and creature type. If it is a BE pet, you check \"Biocrafted\" checkbox. Click \"Update\" and your pet should be added to your stable. Repeat the process to add more than one pet. Hope this is detailed enough.

Haven't seen any AT-ATs in the game yet, but you can commission an AT-ST from an Imperial recruiter for faction points
