GSP vs. Gurrek
GSP vs. Gurrek
I was comparing the stats between the Great Plains Stalker and the Gurreck, and the only thing that I see that is better about the Great Plains Stalker is that it has 5% better Kinetic and Energy Resists, and that it is more rare. What makes the Great Plains Stalker so much more desireable than the Gurreck?

the fact anyone can find a gurreck..which are great by the way..but it takes a lot of dedicated searching to find the gps, makes the gps much more desireable...honestly stats mean very little if you have master combat...i'm mrifle and i use pets for tanks..i kill the target before the pet puts a significant dent in it...i would never count on a pet to win a fight so for me the stats mean very little
Thank's for the info, hossp. I'm working toward MRM myself, but I'm creating a new toon on Flurry that I'll be playing a lot. I'll be using the same template, though. I'll still play my Shadowfire toon, but I'll probably be focusing on the Flurry toon a lot. You make a good point, about having a Master combat profession. I'm a TKM right now, and my pet is mainly there for looks and for company.

The rarity is the main reason.
They're also huge. The body types are different, and I personally find the colors on the GPS nicer. Their behavior (unfortunately changed in Publish 9) was different in that they would take after anything when first called. [In the wild, they do that all the time.]
Combat-wise, the gurreck is stronger because of intimidate. But then, I had several BE cats that were only CL 35 and much stronger than either...

Hossp, Gortek, you guys are my twin brothers. I recently jumped back full throttle into getting my MRM(Rifleman 3-1-1-3, right now) and my tankers(both awesome BE pets for my level of CH)are just the best.
The GPS is the ultimate trophy. In my opinion, not only does the rarity make it a prize, but GPSs just look more regal and majestic than gurrecks.

lantyssa...i have let a pet gutteck and a wild gps fight it out until about 10% ham (i never let my pets incap..except the first screecher i got incapped when an adult aggro'ed me just after i tamed the baby...it had no commands yet, and the adult incapped it..only on of my pets at 98/100 vitality) any how they gurreck kept up well with the gps, but the gps hits harder ans was going to win...the gurreck's ham depeleted faster (not a lot , however) than the gps's ham
