Creature Statistics

Postby Makwah » Sun Oct 24, 2004 8:54 pm

k, there are statistics about creatures that I really don't know about but want to know about.

For instance, what is ferocity and how will it benefit me as a CH?
What is the 'base-to-hit' stat?

Is there anywhere that tells what all the stats are and what they do?

the base to hit is the %age of hits per attack...if it is .5 it hits 50% of the time..however you get a bounus of +10 with mch..i had a be friend of mine make a razor with .62 bth and 198 attack speed...best wild i've seen is .55 and 2.00

I don't know what effect ferocity has on creatures, but I got curious. I sifted through some of the creatures and it seems ferocity ranges from 0-40. The Krayt Dragon Ancient was the highest I could find. If anybody knows or has some educated guesses, I'd be curious as to what ferocity affects as well.

I was able to Google the following info...

Seiryu says that \"It was stated by Greenmarine (dev) a long time ago that ferocity increases the radius a creature will aggro you.\"

zutan says that \" It seems to effect the likelyhood of the creature running away at low health. It also seems to effect the likelyhood that an agressive creature will agro you as you get closer to them.\"

gandel says that \" this tells you how easily it will lose its temper towards you if it is aggressive. 0-5 and chances are it won't tear you apart unless you're right in its face. 5-10 it will most likely attack you if it sees you. 10-20 it will attack you the moment it even hears you.\"

These all sound reasonable to me. It would be nice to have an official definition though.

Ferocity has been bugging me, too.

As it has been discussed before, it \"may\" affect how you choose your skin for your BE pets.

The following skins have different ferocity.

Gurreck = 0
Razor Cat = 6 (?)
Gurrcat = 8
Narglatch = 9

Until I realized they have different ferocity, I thought I can pick any cat skin and that would not make much of a differece other than how they look. However, \"if\" ferocity determines how easily your pet runs from enemy, then you would want your pet to have Narglatch skin instead of Gurreck skin....

It has been a question I need to find an answer to and have not yet.
I have been meaning to conduct a test myself and I just keep forgetting about it. :P
