MCH Tag Team

Postby Ivoe » Fri Sep 10, 2004 10:41 am

I was wondering what some of the MCH's have as their favorite team of pets to use in combat. I have a friend that has 3 BE Cats because of the speed. I was planning (when I hit MCH) to use a Delirious Merek Avenger and Graul as my PvE team. Just curious.

I have been trying to come up with a \"Dream Team\" myself and wrote up a little document. The following is a copy and paste from this document and I apologize if it does not display correctly or the post is too long.

# Pet Type CL Damage Ranged Special1 Special2
1 Triplet1 23-24 300 Yes Intimidation Blind
2 Triplet2 23-24 300 Yes Dizzy Crippling
3 Triplet3 23-24 300 Yes Stunning Dizzy
4 Twin1 35 400 Yes Intimidation Blinding
5 Twin2 35 400 Yes Dizzy Crippling
6 Big Tank 46 500 No Intimidation Blinding
7 Mantigrue Screecher 55 450 Yes Unknown Plague Strike
8 Gaping Spider Recluse 44 450 Yes Poison Sprey Strong Poison
9 Small Tank 15 100 No Strong Poison Strong Disease

Team 1: Pet 1+Pet 2+Pet 3
This team will let you apply various state changes to mobs. With ranged attacks enabled, you can tank yourself if you choose to do so.

Team 2: Pet 4+Pet 5
This team will be able to tank most of tougher mobs. Also this will be easier to control than Team 1. However, state change attacks are not as intense as Team 1s.

Team 3: Pet 6+Pet 1 (or 2 or 3)
This is a variation of one tank + one shooter. Pet 6 should be able to take most of the beating itself and a shooter can support the attack from a safe distance.

Team 4: Pet 8+Pet 1(or 2 or 3)
This team is all ranged. It would be best used in large scale PvP or PvE against multiple targets. You can start tanking yourself and after all mobs are around you, you can command the team to start poisoning everything around you.

Team 5: Pet 7+Pet 9
This should probably used only in PvP situation where you would use Pet 9 as a diversion and Pet 7 applying disease to multiple targets. Pet 9 should probably be a large creature skin to distract your enemys attention.

Note:
- All members except 7 and 8 are BE pets.
- Some data such as damages and special attacks may vary a little.
- I have not gotten all of the above members yet. (I am missing 4,5,7 and 9)
- I have been making those triplets with kinetic resist of 60 and light armors. The only pet I cannot stick a light armor would be pet#9 \"small tank\".
- Right now I often use Team3 (Big tank + one shooter) with Intimidation/Crippling/Dizzy specials in most of PvE situations and works very well.

I use three fine BE pets (thank you Nytar :)) 2 of them intimidate, 1 stuns, 1 cripples (I think) I loop a macro that /tellpet special1; /tellpet special2 so they pretty much keep any reasonable foe intimidated. That's all I need from them, I do the rest. We work very well together... Oh, and they are 2 gurrcats named Yin and Yang and a mountable dewbie named Buster.

I am honored that my pets are part of your team Zurl.

And you seem to get a right special combination for your team. So many CHs ask for Strong Poison and Knockdown and don't know that they don't work at your command.

I wish I could deal good damage myself, but I am having good fun with making pets and I can't have everything, right? :P I just hope I can at least get glowy

Me and Ochimo are glowy and bored out of our skulls grinding experience. Luni's one quest away from glowy but she's not all that interested at the moment. Please, please, PLEASE let us know if you need help with anything (getting glowy, going to the village (first time can be daunting), even taming critters. We're a small group of nomads, but we pack a decent punch and we're only a tell away :)
